It is my pleasure to give a brief report of the AICS Junior School during this academic session. The AICS Junior School is initiated in the year 2003 and by God’s grace it has been going on till today. The current Academic session starts on 2nd April, 2019.

AICS Junior School students are from a wide scattered area under the Block of Aizawl West. Most of the students are from Tanhril, Mizoram University Campus, Ramrikawn, Sakawrtuichhun, SBS Complex, Tuivamit, Central Jail, Chawlhhmun and of course from AICS Campus. The Medium of Instruction is English and Exceptional Mizo and Hindi are often used in certain cases.
2. ACTIVITIES
2.1. Daily Routine: School hour:
Pre School (Nursery, KG-I, KG-II) – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Primary (Class-I to Class-IV) – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Middle (Class-V to Class-VIII) – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
The School commence at 9:00 am every morning. Assembly is conducted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning and Teachers’ devotion on Tuesday and Thursday separately. The forenoon classes are followed by lunch break at 12:00 pm and Mid-Day Meal is provided to each student every day. Co-Scholastic and Co-Curricular activities are regularly conducted on every Wednesday Afternoon and Friday Afternoon.
2.2. Academic Activities: The School is carried out as per the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Unit test is well conducted and activities are regularly given for their evaluation. Co-Scholastic activities like Work Education, Health Education, Physical Education and Art Education are also regularly performed.
– Examination: First Summative Evaluation (16th July, 2019 to 23rd July, 2019). Second Summative Evaluation (7th February, 2020 to 13th February, 2020).
– Vacation: Winter Vacation (7th December, 2019 to 8th January, 2020). Summer Vacation (1st March, 2020 to 1st April, 2020).
3. OTHER ACTIVITIES:
3.1. Annual Sports was held according to the school calendar from 17th to 20th May, 2019 with various sports items at Tribal Art Centre. The students are divided into three houses and compete against one another. Prizes were distributed to outstanding performers.
3.2. Parents and Teachers meeting was held on 30th May, 2019 at the School building.
3.3. Teachers’ Day celebration was held on 5th September 2019, in which students laid out all the programs for the honoring of their teachers.
3.4. On 8th July 2019, Outing cum Picnic program was held at Next Com Picnic Spot. Both students and teachers had a delightful and enjoyable moment on this day.
3.5. Middle School Zonal Sports was held on 25th to 28th December, 2019. AICS Junior School also participated in the events and got 1st position in overall tally.
3.6. Gospel Meeting was held on 30th November 2019 in which Lalhmingliana Chhangte was invited as the Gospel Meeting Speaker.
CONCLUSION:
By God’s grace and guidance and with the co-operation and dedication of the Staffs, the school could function impressively till today. I give my heartiest gratitude to my Colleagues. Without the helping hand of the respected Principal of AICS Rev. Dr. V. L. Chhawna Khiangte, and former principals of AICS,AICS Junior School would not have been what it is today. So, we give thanks to the Principal and former principals whole heartedly. Thanks to the BCM and SSA for their Educational inspiration. Most of all, we thank the Almighty God for His Omni-presence and providence.
